Music is a big part of baseball. You have the National Anthem, "Take Me Out to the Ball Game," and team-specific songs played at every game in between innings. A caveat for players who make it to the big leagues is they're are able to choose a song they want to come up to bat with.
Washington Nationals player Gerardo Parra has made possibly the most peculiar choice in music to walk out to the plate to. And by peculiar we mean he chose the children's song "Baby Shark."
As Parra comes to the plate in the 7th inning in a game against the Colorado Rockies, "Baby Shark" is blasted throughout Nats Park, with his teammates and countless fans doing the shark gesture with their arms.
The TV hosts and people in the crowd can't help but laugh either. Parra got a hit and 2 RBI's as the Nats beat the Rockies 11-1 in the game. Perhaps "Baby Shark" is around to stay?
