Dashcam footage from China captures the horrifying moment when a massive tower crane snaps in half, causing the operator inside to plunge hundreds of feet to the ground.
The operator, who was reportedly a man in his 30s was covered in blood but still breathing after the collapse and was taken to a hospital. He later succumbed to his injuries.
Footage of the aftermath of the accident showed parts of the crane spread across the construction site and a sidewalk adjacent to it.
The cause of the collapse is under investigation. One person claims the crane was attempting to move a load to heavy for it to bear.
