A 42-year old Missouri mom of three decided to undergo a cosmetic procedure called microblading, where a person's eyebrows are tattooed on their face. But the procedure went horribly wrong, leaving Jami Ledbetter with four eyebrows.
Ledbetter says she was so embarrassed with how her face looked she didn't want to be in public.
"I was devastated. I was even dating a guy and he stopped dating me at that point. It burned a lot. Kind of felt bruised," she says.
Jami says she had the procedure done by a woman who claimed to be certified to perform the microblading procedure.
Now Jami is undergoing more procedures to undo the botched eyebrows. Kara Gutierrez, a licensed and insured tattoo artist, is slowly removing the tattooed eyebrows with a pigment lightening material applied to the tattoo ink. She expects it will take months to completely remove the botched eyebrows.
