Steve Perry, former vocalist of Journey, is returning to music. Perry only recently launched a new website, StevePerry.com and social media accounts with the message "I know it's been a long time comin'."
Although it has not officially been announced, according to Blabbermouth, the album, cover art and tracklist for Traces were leaked on Amazon and have since been removed. The listing also had a release date of October 5th.
Perry has been working on the new music for quite some time, and has said, "We have been doing our very best to capture what I think are some timeless songs." Perry is also reportedly planning to be featured as a guest on CBS Sunday Morning on October 7th.
His last solo album came out in 1994; For the Love of Strange Medicine went gold in the US. Perry's last performance with Journey was part of a brief reunion that took place in 1991, but he joined the band during their acceptance speech at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2017.
