Huey Lewis & The News has been forced to cancel all of their 2018 tour dates due to Huey Lewis' hearing loss. Lewis released a statement via the band's social media accounts on April 13th, stating that he recently lost most of his hearing:
Lewis states that doctors believe he has Meniere's disease which results in a variety of hearing-related issues and vertigo. There is currently no cure for the disease, but there are medicinal treatments and diets that can help reduce the symptoms.
Lewis hopes to be able to get well enough to perform again. The band was scheduled to perform at Maryland Live! Casino on June 28th and 29th.
