Back in '88, Nirvana Played a Show at a Radioshack

When you're in a band that's just starting out (even Nirvana) you take pretty much any gig you can get. That might be why they played a set at a RadioShack in Aberdeen, WA in January 1988.

According to the description in the video, the band recorded a demo a Reciprocal Recording Studios in Seattle on January 23rd. At this time in the band's history, Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic were joined by Dale Crover (longtime member of The Melvins) on drums. The next day, they shot a video of them apparently playing with the demo that had just been recorded.

Shortly after this video was taken, Crover left the band and was later replaced by Chad Channing. Channing played drums on most of Bleach which came out in 1989, but a few drum tracks from the band's demo with Crover made it onto the record.
