BIG 100's Bodhi got to sit down with Kirk Hammett before he took the stage with Metallica at the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. The band is currently on the North American leg of their WorldWired tour with two, leap-frogging stages.
After a month break from tour, Metallica went live on Facebook to let their fans experience a dress rehearsal from the comfort of their own homes. The performance has already been viewed by almost 2 million fans.
Bodhi and Hammett get real about their love for horror movies and comic books. They talk the "Golden Age" of superhero movies and geek out about horror-themed television shows and movies.
Moving on to talk about their new music, Hammett says his most challenging obstacle of performing live is remembering what he played to begin with. "As an improvisor...I'm more obligated to play what's on my mind or how I'm feeling or what's in my heart."
