In my latest Commanders Conversation, I talk with kicker Austin Seibert.
Austin joined the team just over a week ago and has already made a huge impact. He set a franchise record by kicking seven field goals (7 for 7) in the Commanders 21-18 win over the Giants. He's also the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
I ask him about getting the call to come to Washington, what it feels like to be the hero in his first week as a Commander, and how he envisions his role with the team this season.
Austin also describes his unique training methods, which involve his wife and daughter.
We also learn about the special Washington football connection that Austin has with the late, great Dave Butz and the Butz family.
The conversation ends with Austin completing Lisa's 60-second Drill, where we learn a lot about his favorite things off the field.
