Bruce Springsteen spent his tour day off on Tuesday at the White House hanging with President Biden.
Springsteen was there for the presentation of the 2021 National Medals of Arts. The presentation of the awards were delayed two years due to the pandemic. Springsteen was given a medal because his music "celebrates our triumphs, heals our wounds, and gives us hope, capturing the unyielding spirit of what it means to be American."
In his speech before giving Springsteen his medal, President Biden seemed startled by the number of shows "The Boss" has done in his career.
Other honorees in attendance on Tuesday included Gladys Knight, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Mindy Kaling.
Springsteen and the E Street Band's tour continues Thursday in Buffalo, New York. Monday night they'll be at Capital One Arena!
