Metallica's James Hetfield represented his band this past weekend at Joe Walsh's latest VetsAid live stream benefit with a solo acoustic version of Bob Seger's "Turn the Page."
The song was a hit for Seger in the '70s, and Metallica famously recorded the song for its Garage Inc. covers LP.
Video from the event captured by a Hetfield fan account on Instagram shows Hetfield discussing the importance of the veterans cause and of reaching out and caring for "...[T]hose who serve our country and those who put themselves on the line - mentally, physically, spiritually. Not just them - first responders, military and the families along with them. Thank you so much for what you do and your sacrifices. Thanks. This is for you."
