Gorilla Spy Robot Records Them Singing, Farting Constantly While Eating

For the first time ever, gorillas in their natural habitat have shown behaviors that were previously unknown to researchers.

Scientists placed a "spy" amongst some mountain gorillas, a robot with the appearance of a young gorilla fitted with a camera in its eye and programmed with movements to mimic natural gorilla behaviors.

What they found was surprising. The gorillas began singing amongst themselves when eating.

And because the gorillas eat about 40 lbs of food a day, there are consequences. The gorillas "live in a semi-permanent state of flatulence."
