LISA'S ANIMAL TALES: LOST DOG REUNITED WITH FAMILY AFTER 12 YEARS (Video)

(Pittsburgh, PA) -- A dog has found her way back to her family after 12 years and a thousand miles.

The now 14-year-old toy fox terrier, Dutchess, was found in Pittsburgh after being lost in Boca Raton, Florida in 2007. Dutchess was brought to a shelter where they scanned her for the contact information on her microchip.

Her guardian, Katheryn Strang said she always held out hope that Dutchess would one day be found, adding she paid the annual 15-dollar microchip activation fee every year in hopes of the two being reunited.
