This time of year, you'd expect to hear musical church bells playing a traditional Christmas jingle like "Joy to the World" or "The Little Drummer Boy." But anyone who was near The Red Tower, a medieval era church in Halle, Germany was treated to another famous tune.
David Drambyan plays the AC/DC classic "Hells Bells," the title track from 1980's Back in Black on an instrument called a carillon. A carillon essentially marries an oversized keyboard with church bells, complete with foot pedals. This carillon in particular has 76 individual bells, and is the largest in Europe.
Hearing "Hells Bells" being played on church bells is something we can now mark off the list of things we want to hear before we die.
