Detroit Rock City is a song from KISS' 1976 album, Destroyer.  The song is also the namesake for 1999 film.

The movie Detroit Rock City follows a group of four teenagers who idolize KISS.  The boys have tickets to see the band in Detroit.  But, the mother of one of the teenagers destroys the tickets in front of the group.

They need new tickets and hilarity ensues.

Well.  Not that much hilarity.  The film flopped at the box office.  It brought in fewer than five million dollars domestically.

But, it was still a fun movie.
