Bastille performed their hit, Pompeii, at the historic Capitol Records building.  The British band was backed by a string section.  The accompanying musicians heled create the unique cinematic version of the song.  Its pretty awesome.

Frontman Dan Smith tells Rolling Stone, "I'm obsessed with film scores, so to play such a cinematic version of 'Pompeii' with musicians who soundtrack Hollywood films on a daily basis was an amazing experience. We made our album in a tiny underground studio in London. To be able to spend the night in the main room of Capitol Studios recording this version was completely awesome for us."

When the band visited Washington D.C. in the fall of 2013, they performed a special set at the British Embassy.  Check out that video here.
