Pearl Jam lead guitarist Mike McCready wrote a column for Rolling Stone on one of his favorite childhood bands, KISS.  McCready wrote, "They were the Beatles to me. They are the reason I started playing music."

McCready wrote that he was Peter Criss for Halloween in 1976.  One of his favorite music moments happened when Ace Frehley performed with Pearl Jam at Madison Square Garden.

He also mentioned KISS' current situation involving the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  The band has said that they won't play together.  But, McCready writes, "I wish they would do it. It just makes the fans happy. And that's the point, in my mind."
