Frances Bean Cobain, the daughter of the late Nirvana front-man Kurt Cobain, did not care for what Lana Del Rey had to say about dying young in a recent interview.
Del Rey told the Guardian that she viewed early death as glamorous. Frances took to Twitter to express her displeasure.
Lana Del Rey has responded to Cobain's criticism. She tweeted directly at Frances to explain what she meant.
@alka_seltzer666 it's all good. He was asking me a lot a out your dad I said I liked him because he was talented not because he died young-— Lana Del Rey (@LanaDelRey) June 23, 2014
@alka_seltzer666 the other half of what I said wasn't really related to the people he mentioned/ I don't find that part of music glam either— Lana Del Rey (@LanaDelRey) June 23, 2014
In a series of deleted tweets, Lana Del Rey also said that she regretted trusting the Guardian. She wrote, "His leading questions about death and persona were calculated."
