Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl, the surviving members of Nirvana, appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday.  The band's bassist and drummer traded stories about their time with the band that will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Thursday night.

Novoselic noted that the honor coincides with the 20th anniversary of the loss of front-man Kurt Cobain:

"It's also bittersweet because our friend Kurt has been gone for 20 years so its a good way to remember him...he should be here."

Both Krist and Dave talked about how quickly everything grew.

Jimmy Fallon gushed about how much he loved Nirvana.  He says played in a high school band called "The Born Losers."  Fallon says they loved to cover Nirvana, specifically the band's Unplugged album.
