Courtney Love's band Hole originally broke up in 2002.  They (kind of) reunited in 2009.  But, the reunion did not include guitarist Eric Erlandson.  The partially reunited Hole released an album called Nobody's Daughter in 2010.  In 2012, Love said that "Hole is Dead."

She's working with Erlandson again, but has no desire to reunite Hole.  Love explains to the Philippine Daily Enquirer, "I don’t want to get on the oldies circuit...I don’t need to do that for money. I want to put out music that is relevant today."

Despite not wanting to do the "oldies circuit" Love is devoting much of her time now to developing a film based on the life of her late husband, Nirvana's Kurt Cobain.

She says the film will start "in a year or two."  Love says that she's seen options for who will portray Cobain, but won't name names:

“That was really tough because these boys are so pretty, so cute. I won’t name names because I don’t want to jinx it for anyone but these are 25-year-olds who are blond, gorgeous and the new Brad Pitts. There’s a ton of those. Some are really good actors, not just pretty faces."

Love also added that her daughter, Frances Bean, along with surviving members of Nirvana, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl, all have creative control over the movie.  But, Love is "leading the charge."
