Tommy Lee Says Motley Crue's Farewell Tour Is Coming

Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee says that the band is about to call it quits after a farewell tour.  Speaking to EDM musician Deadmau5, Lee cited guitarist Mick Mars' health as a major reason for the end.

Lee explained, "The farewell tour is next...Our guitar player...he has a spinal disease that’s slowly fusing his vertebrae together. It’s one of those things that’s treatable, but not curable. So it’s just progressively getting really worse and it’s painful for him, so he doesn’t want to tour much longer. I can’t say I blame him."

Tommy Lee went on to say that he did not want to continue without Mars or any other original member of the band.

In August, singer Vince Neil said the band would call it quits after a 2014 tour and also cited Mars' health.  That didn't sit with with Mars.  The guitarist tweeted, "My AS has never kept me from touring and never will."
