Some say AC/DC will announce that the band is done because founding member Malcolm Young had a stroke and is dealing with a blood clot in his brain.

Others say that the legendary band is actually beginning work on a new album.

This is why you cannot believe everything on the internet.

A blog called The Orstrahyun in Australia posted a story claiming that Young discovered he could not play at band rehearsals.  The story says that Malcolm Young recently suffered a stroke and the resulting blood clot has made it impossible for him to continue playing.

The author, Darryl Mason, writes that sources close to the band say they have decided to call it quits.

An Australian radio reporter echoed that story saying, "The suggestion being put to me is that that tour will not happen and we will never see AC/DC perform or record again."  According to Billboard, this was based on an anonymous email.

However, The Australian cites a "music industry source" who claims the band has booked studio time in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Singer Brian Johnson told a Florida radio station, "One of boys was ill," back in February.  But, he did mention plans to record a new album and a plan to tour.

Hopefully, the band releases something official addressing the subject.  Until then, nothing can be confirmed.

Billboard cites "insiders" who claim that there is no truth to the rumor.  But, the group's management and Columbia Records, AC/DC's current label, chose to not comment.
