For the past 30 years, every rock fan has had the same thought while driving.
"I Can't Drive 55."
Sammy Hagar's 1984 hit song I Can't Drive 55 is an anthem for every lead foot who gets behind the wheel of a car. Hagar was inspired to write the song when he got his own speeding ticket.
Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin is apparently a lead footed Sammy Hagar fan.
Palin was ticketed for going 65 MPH in a 45 MPH zone in Wasilla, Alaska. She told reporters that Hagar's I Can't Drive 55 was on the radio. Palin said the song inspired her speed.
