Roger Waters is working on a new rock album.  The former member of Pink Floyd told Rolling Stone, "I finished a demo of it last night."

He explains, "It's 55 minutes long. It's songs and theater as well. I don't want to give too much away, but it's couched as a radio play. It has characters who speak to each other, and it's a quest. It's about an old man and a young child trying to figure out why they are killing the children."

Waters has spent the last few years touring The Wall, his Pink Floyd-era rock opera.  After that big project, Waters is unsure if he will tour in support of his new album or with The Wall.

Roger Waters left Pink Floyd in 1985.  He released a classical opera, Ca Ira, in 2005.  His last rock album was 1992's Amused to Death.
