Led Zeppelin was nominated for "Best New Artist" in 1970.  They lost to Crosby, Stills & Nash.  The band never actually won a Grammy.

Until now.

Celebration Day, the band's live album from their 2007 reunion concert, won the Grammy for Best Rock Album on Sunday afternoon.

The group did get recognized with a "Lifetime Achievement Award" in 2005.

The band is also nominated for "Best Rock Performance" for Kashmir from Celebration Day.
