Led Zeppelin is facing a lawsuit over their legendary song, Stairway to Heaven.  A lawyer representing the late Randy California of the band Spirit is claiming that Zeppelin ripped off the song from Spirit's 1969 song, Taurus.

A member of Led Zeppelin has responded.

Jimmy Page kept his response short and sweet.  The French magazine Liberation asked Page about the lawsuit.  Page responded:

"This is ridiculous. I have no further comment on the subject."

Francis Malofiy, the lawyer who is suing Led Zeppelin, recently was admonished by a judge in another case.  Malofiy brought a similar lawsuit against the singer Usher.  In that case, a judge said that the lawyer's actions are the "paradigm of bad faith and intentional misconduct."
