Eric Clapton has publicly discussed the idea of quitting life on the road, so his upcoming tour documentaryPlanes, Trains, and Eric, could be an interesting watch.

The film will release on November 4th.  It follows Clapton's tour of the Far and Middle East earlier in 2014.  There will be 13 life performances of classic Clapton songs like Layla, Wonderful Tonight, and Crossroads.

In addition to the live performances, we will get interviews with Clapton and his band along with a look at life on the road.

The look at life on the road for Clapton should be interesting due to his recent comments about touring.  He recently told UnCut, "The road has become unbearable.  It's become unapproachable, because it takes so long to get anywhere.  It's hostile--everywhere: getting in and out of airports, traveling on planes and in cars."

Clapton is almost 70 and the guitarist has said that he plans on stopping when he hits that milestone.

Eric Clapton just released a tribute album featuring the music of his late friend, JJ Cale.
